The Experience Of Timber

The properties of the wood reflect the quality of our windows and doors. We use slow-growing pinewood with a core share of 90%. Slow grown is strongest and, ideally suited for use in windows.

Timber from cold dry regions such as Siberia, Scandinavia and the Baltics has more advantages as a building material than timber grown in the UK. Tight grains due to the lack of rainfall prevents the log from storing excess water and forming knots making it stronger.
Kiln dried timber which is graded to BS4978 & EN14081 is essential as this guarantees you product quality.
The core is the innermost part of the trunk, and the main function of the core is to give the wood strength.

To achieve the best quality, the wood is scanned to reveal knots, cracks, and resin residue which are then removed.
This prevents blotches from knots and resin marks.
When the wood is cut and machined, it is glued with finger joints for planks. This ensures a robust quality product, which is virtually knot-free, and provides stability of shape, since the finger joints almost double the tensile strength of the wood.
All timber used comes from environmentally friendly, sustainable forestry either FSC® or PEFC® certified.

Low Maintenance Aluminium Cladding

The external face of the window is the side exposed to the elements.
Robust, maintenance-friendly aluminium on the outside guarantees windows a long life. The quality of the aluminium depends on the quality of the powder coating.

Our products are all designed to perform in the harsh Nordic winter conditions and provide the highest levels of comfort.

Our powder coating process involves a 12-step chromate conversion coating process gives the aluminium excellent resistance.
The surface treatment provides a finish which is extra scratch resistant and a textural finish. We also offer matt colours in a wide ranch of RAL colours, granite Sablé colours, metallic colours, anodised colours, marine grade treatment available for cladding and ironmongery.

Lift and slide doors

Lift and Slide Panorama Patio Door is a modern solution with even broader views and more light. The glazing is assembled directly into the frame.
Our sliding patio doors are equipped with high quality and modern hinges systems with soft close and solar control options. The locking system and strong handle enable convenient operating with the option to hold in a ventilation position.

Multiple combinations available with generous can be couple to create a complete facade.

Finishes and colours

We offer a huge range of options on finishes to complement your project.

Externally you can select any RAL paint finish or Powder coated finish for aluminium.

External aluminium can be provided with a stronger finish for marine environments and a dappled finish for additional scratch resistance.

Where a translucent or timber finish is required inside the selection process for the timber is more stringent with no knots or finger joints visible.

Window handles

We offer a range of colours and finishes.
Handles can be locking or non locking.

We have a range of child safety restrictors that can also be added.

Door handles

We offer a range of handle and cylinder options.
Lever handles as standard with pull bar or knob options. Smart door technology offer biometric or app controlled access.

Aftercare

Good practice for installation and aftercare is a crucial element to the performance and longevity of your products.
We will provide easy to follow guidance for both. Maintenance of aluminium clad products is very minimal with a life cycle assessments showing expectancy of 70+ years.

We hold a stock of replacement parts with most items available in 48 hours.

Energy-enhancing solutions are not free, but bear in mind that the cost of new windows is a one-off expense, which should be regarded as an investment that will soon pay for itself.

Example: 20 to 25-year-old windows have a UW-value of about 2,5. New SCANTEC ENERGY triple glazed windows have a UW-value of 0,78.
